Stuff on my radar right now

July 20, 2003

Cool! All that stuff all us smart blogger-types knew back in January regarding all that so-called ‘intelligence’ on Iraq’s WMDs is finally in the mainstream press. It’s even on the Nightly News! I wonder if anyone’ll remember it by election time?

Stupid California referendum process. What’s the point of spending MILLIONS of dollars of taxpayer money on a recall vote to spank Gray Davis for not being able to do a damned thing about what is, essentially, a DEPRESSION? He was legally elected! It’s a smack in the face to the voters of California that Darrell Isse, in his own greedy lust for the governorship, is making a mockery of the democratic process.

Yikes! The housing market is so tight now, I wouldn’t even qualify to rent a one-bedroom apartment in this town. Good thing we gambled it all, scrimped and suffered, nickeled-and-dimed our way through six years of fixerupperdom, and risked our future creditworthiness, so we could become homeowners before values went skyhigh.

Criminy. Is there no such thing as Good Music anymore?

Note to Ted Barlow

First of all, sorry about the layoff. Been there, done that, worried into a frenzy, and it all worked out alright. I think the same will happen for you – you’ll lose some sleep, but once you focus your jobsearch you’ll land on your feet. So keep your chin up.

Secondly, when I pulled up your blog just a minute ago, the background was pornographic. Whassup with that?
